Kansas City Advertising Jobs: Where Can You Find Them?

I often hear that people have difficulty finding advertising and marketing jobs in the Kansas City and surrounding areas.
You of course have the large job networks such as Monster, Career Builder, etc., but how do these work for everyone? I know they cost a fortune to use, but perhaps you are recouping your investment - but probably not.

I know when we’ve posted jobs for specific advertising positions we are often flooded with resumes that are not local candidates. As the marketing and advertising industry continues to grow in the Kansas City region more talent is being developed.  We no longer have to look outside of our regional boundaries, we can find many of our prime candidates right here.

I have found a few job boards that cater specifically to the advertising and marketing community, but the majority of them are outdated.  The jobs listed are old or there is no contact information.

I bring all of this up because I am working on a project that I am very excited about.  I was going to wait until it launched to announce it - but wanted to share it with you today. I love to bring candidates and employers together and assist the employer in finding the right person for the job. I also know how challenging it can be to find job opportunities without visiting each and every agencies website. My hope is that this project will ease the process when it come to looking for candidates as well as give candidates a central location to find out about job openings within the Kansas City and surrounding region.  The great thing is this project will fully cater to jobs in advertising, marketing, public relations and broadcasting.

Project launch date is scheduled for March 10th.  If you are an agency that is interested in posting your job openings, get in touch with me I will be offering a free trial for the first 30 days. You can reach me at llake@lauralake.com. If you are a candidate, sit still and be patient you will have full capabilities of listing your own resume  and showcasing your talent on March 10th. I promise you that Kansas City job hunting and recruiting in our industry is about to get easier.

Good resources MeIAm, but what I am hearing is people want something that is totally dedicated to not only the region but the industry as well :)

I think it’s a good idea. I was just saying where you can go right now to find jobs and candidates. Since you asked in your headline.

:)

A nice initiative by the way, because finding a job nowadays is a rather difficult task.

Great information Elisa - I’ve heard great things about LandAJob. You should advertise those jobs on Kansas City Ad Jobs for premium exposure :)
