Internet Necessity

It’s amazing what you can learn about marketing sitting in a coffee shop. Unfortunately or fortunately (however one wishes to look at it) I’ve been sitting in one for the majority of the last two days while I wait for my Internet connection to be restored.

How can one say that Interactive marketing is not important to companies today. Yesterday my internet company was hit with a tragedy. A construction company cut one of their main lines leaving our entire city without their service. While one may not call that a tragedy the 50 people standing in line at their office this morning did.

We’ve got cable tv, but I think most people would rather be without television and connected to the world wide web.

Think about it. We use this medium daily. We research, read, pay bills, and even gain entertainment. All along we are faced with advertisements, but it just seems less obtrusive than commercials on television. After all their is an “x” button we can always click and keep on moving.

The internet almost seems like a connection to our “world”. It’s how we communicate most of the time. Emails, Instant Messaging, and Forums.

All I can say is I want my internet connection back. While the coffee is good here and the music delightful I like the comfort of surfing the web in my own home; where I can actually get some work done.

Well, I agree about the internet thing. Even better is when you can put your name and a dot com after it and pull up a page like this. Cool name by the way! ;-)

How do I find a great Marketing Manager for our organization that is willing to live in Wisconsin. We are number 2 in the Global Supply of Trenchless Equipment for the Construction industry. As a $18M company we have a good shot at substantial marketshare increase as our number one competitor is in Germany and does $125M Globally with an inferior prioduct. We need a very strong Marketing Manager for our product and I am willing to pay the price. Any suggestions other than the usuals?

Got the Bike but cats don’t like me!
