This week alone I heard of three agencies in the Kansas City area that were laying off people. It saddens me, but in truth I understand. We are fortunate at BIGSHOT we are seeing growth rather than a decline. The resumes I received this week for an opening that we posted were mostly from individuals who have been laid off at bigger agencies. I sympathize I’ve been there as well. This economy is not only hurting advertisers, but it is in fact taking a toll on agencies as well. Clients are pulling their marketing in-house or cutting their budgets drastically. We will get through this downturn we always do, but how do we get smarter about our marketing? Perhaps I can help in this week’s article entitled Marketing: Surviving an Economic Downturn.
