Dating is Like Sales

I’m reminded daily how similar sales is to dating.  First you must catch their attention, once you have it you better keep it.  If you don’t someone else will snag it from you quickly.  Can you tell it’s Sunday and I’m writing this blog post?  Actually I’ve always felt that if we were good at dating we’d be even better at sales.  It’s all about getting, building and keeping the relationship in a state of excitement and newness.   Don’t take the client for granted - the moment you do I guarantee they will be hunting for the better deal.  How are you keeping the relationship between you and your clients alive?  My article Nurturing the Relationships that Matter at About.com this week focuses on the nurturing of the relationships that matter - we can all use some helpful tips on keeping relationships from going stale.  In the meantime if you have any dating tips I’m all ears.
